MIS Controls is a growing woman-owned control panel manufacturing company in Rochester Hills, MI.


We are looking for a diligent General Office Coordinator to help with the organization and running of all daily administrative and purchasing operations for MIS. You will be working on various office support tasks as well as customer and vendor-related communications. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion. You will manage business-related tasks for the team, such as purchasing office supplies, buying components, front desk management, and other organizational tasks. Ultimately, you’ll help us meet and surpass business expectations and contribute to our company’s rapid and sustainable growth.


1.   Responsibilities:

  • Buying components for assemblies
  • Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
  • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
  • Create and update records ensuring the accuracy and validity of information
  • Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly
  • Purchasing office supplies on regular basis to maintain preparedness
  • Ship and Receive vendor and customer packages
  • Ability to handle special projects
  • Perform receptionist and front desk duties


2. Knowledge/Education

  • Associate’s Degree OR
  • Relevant Experience in Buyer Positions


3. Skills

  • Buying for the control panel industry
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • Professional level verbal and written communications skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Basic technology functionality (office phone/computer operations)
  • Friendly demeanor for visitor & caller communication


4. Experience

  • Supply Chain Management/Buyer is a plus (additional training will be provided)
  • In-depth understanding of the entire MS Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Epicor ERP software knowledge is a plus
